Surriya Khanum is a veteran Pakistani Classical Singer from the Punjab. ==Career== Khanum started her singing career in 1977 from Radio of Multan and made her first TV appearance in 1980 when she sang a cover of popular song "Yaar Dhadi" by Ustad Juman Khan, who also trained her for a while. Later she trained under the influence of Ustad Faiz AHmd (late) for 21 years and later Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan for 8 years. She recorded more than 1000 songs in Urdu, Kashmiri, Pushto, Balochi and has inspired musically by Tufail Niazi, Reshma and Iqbal Bano. Shee appeared on the as a featured artist on the eight season of popular music reality television series ''Coke Studio Pakistan''. She sang She sang a popular wedding song of Tufail Niazi's "Chirya Da Chamba" along with Anwar Maqsood which was praised for its music, composition and the beautiful narration of a letter by Maqsood. It was stated that the song "created a memorable experience for audiences."
